Senior Front Office Supervisor
• Inspects all public areas and supervises the maintenance and cleanliness of same • Also watches for, and eliminates safety hazards • Observes and makes sure internal Ladies and Gentlemen are properly performing their duties • Makes written reports in Manager’s Log Book of every incident i.e., ‘opportunities’ losses, incidents medical calls, guest comments, etc. • Welcomes VIPs and escorts them to their rooms • Directs front office personnel • In case of an emergency, will follow procedures outlined in the safety and security manual and advises all parties in accordance with procedures • Authorizes the cashing of guests checks in the absence of credit personnel per hotel procedures • Make adjustments on guests disputed bills or items when indicated • Approve and/or disapprove prospective guests when a question of character • Assist in the rooming of guests during heavy arrivals and the checking out of guests during heavy checkouts • Supervise on duty security personnel and service department personnel • Make court appearances in accident cases against the hotel, when requested • Follow up on VIP reservations and pre-registers and maintain VIP correspondence in order • Be familiar with the operation and functions within all departments • Empowered to make decisions in the best interest of the hotel • To assist management in other matters and projects as requested • Perform all functions of front office agent, PBX operator, bellman and concierge when needed • Oversee the night audit process to ensure complete accuracy • Assist all guests with ‘opportunities’ and resolve in the best interest of the guest and hotel • Ensure all outlets are running in accordance to hotel standards.
